Attention students in grades 5 through 8, please join us for “Brothers Bonding with Books & Basketball.” Brothers Bonding with Books & Basketball is a fun new initiative established by the Office of the Superintendent, aimed at connecting students with adult mentors from the community! Last night (3/20/2025), Deanna G. Taylor Academy hosted a Caribbean-themed Literacy night for its students and families! Construction of Hillside Public Schools District’s Deanna G. Taylor Academy Modular Addition has been completed! On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the New Wing's official grand opening/ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Deanna G. Taylor Academy! Hillside Public Schools Board of Education members, administrators, principals, partners, staff, Hillside township dignitaries, and family members of Deanna G. Taylor were all in attendance for the marvelous event! A special thank you to Superintendent Glover, Hillside Board of Education President Best, Bishop Assemblyman Reginald Atkins, Principal of Deanna G. Taylor Academy Mr. Graham, Vice-Principal Budhu, the Office of the Superintendent, the Building and Grounds Department, the Technology Department, and Maschios Food Services! On Saturday, January 18th, 2025, Hillside Public Schools District hosted its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Program at Hillside High School. The program was amazing not only because of the exceptional performances by each of our schools' students, as well as the decorative artwork done by Hillside Innovation Academy students, but also because of the high positive energy of the audience! The auditorium was full of parents, Hillside community members, Hillside Board of Education members, Hillside Town Council members, families, staff, and more! Great work to all of our students, including Hillside High School Senior Sarah Auguste who was the Mistress of Ceremonies for the event! The @scholastic R.E.A.L. Mentor Reading event took place today (1/10/2025)!
