I hope that you have had a pleasant and enjoyable summer vacation. It is time to begin thinking about some of the challenges and exciting experiences that await you as a first-year student at Hillside High School.

Hillside offers a wide variety of courses, athletic teams, clubs, and organizations. I encourage you to participate in as many of these activities as you can. The more you become involved with your school, the greater your feelings for the school community, resulting in commitment, pride, and confidence.
· Freshman Orientation will be held here at Hillside High School:
o Tuesday, August 27th from 9:00-11:00 am in the cafeteria.
o Chromebooks will be available after orientation (parents must sign for chromebook)
The first day of school is September 5, 2024, and you should arrive no later than 7:45 AM to allow for processing through security.
School hours are from 8:00 am - 3:02 pm.
Please make sure that you bring your copy of your schedule with you on the first day of classes.
