Last Saturday, October 28th, 2023, was packed with events in our district! On Saturday night, the Hillside Board of Education hosted its Pink Tie Gala at Hillside High School from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.! There was great food, music, outfits, an auction of elegant gift baskets, and more, in support of breast cancer awareness month. Thank you, Hillside Board of Education, Superintendent Glover, Hillside Public Schools staff, and community members!

There are ways that you can help to promote awareness and show support for World Mental Health Day:
Talk about mental health issues with others, especially children if they are showing signs of depression or anxiety.
Attend events in your town by checking your county’s calendar.
Donate to mental health organizations or charities that provide support and fund research.
Volunteer your time with organizations that provide help to those who are suffering from mental health issues.
There sometimes is a stigma or discrimination in communities for individuals who have mental health issues, which causes many individuals not to seek out the help that they may need. There is no need for anyone to go untreated. There are many services available.

If you need mental health-related crisis support
If you are worried about someone else
Please call or text 988 or visit the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline chat to connect with a trained crisis counselor.

Taylor Academy marched in honor of Ms. Ruby Bridges, the first black student to integrate an elementary school in the United States in 1960!
