K-12 Educators from across Hillside Public Schools' district participated in a Hydroponics PD presented by Rutgers! Teachers engaged in a design/ inquiry task of building hydroponics systems out of water bottles and starting to grow trays. They reviewed resources and discussed cross-curricular lessons and ideas to bring hydroponic tasks to their content area. The event was made possible by the @NJDOE Climate Awareness Education Grant!

Nineteen K-12 Educators from across the district participated in a Climate Change Professional Development (PD) presented by Rutgers! Teachers learned the science behind climate change, reviewed standards and resources, and engaged in a Project Based Learning activity to design wind turbines! Teachers will take ideas from the workshop to create engaging climate change lessons for their classes. The event was made possible by the @NewJerseyDOE Climate Awareness Education Grant!
