Shout out to Ms. Altenor at Ola Edwards Community School for sharing these photos! Students collaborated to test how different surfaces affect the speed and distance of a ball. Students created a kick system to simulate a soccer kick on different surfaces. They tested a golf ball's distance after a "kick" on sandpaper, carpet, and "wax-covered" carpet to replicate a soccer ball being rolled on concrete, grass, and a gym floor! Students chose which variables stayed the same vs. which ones changed.
