During the past week at our Summer Academy, students built sail cars and then delved into testing different materials to determine the most effective sails for their sail cars. Additionally, the students investigated how the material and area of the sails impact the distance the sail cars can travel. The students also had a blast working on basketball free-throw attempts. They conducted experiments to explore how different variables, such as distance, hoop height, and gravity, influence their free throw success rate! Overall, the week was filled with hands-on learning experiences and scientific exploration, providing the students with valuable insights into physics and engineering concepts! - Ms. Altenor
